Course Highlights
Highlights of SLGC’s Top Holes
The tee shot that offers a view unlike any other in the area that plays 349 yards from the back tees. There is a swath of wetlands that cross the fairway and split it in two forcing most players to lay up on their drive. Players that can carry the wetlands will have a small landing area to contend with.
SLGC’s signature hole, a par-4 measuring 320 from the back tees. It offers a challenging carry over a pond from an elevated tee box that then goes back up the fairway to the green. Longer hitters have the option for going for the green off the tee or laying up in the fairway.
Probably considered the toughest par 4 in the capital region because of its length and steady incline from tee to green. Playing 426 yards from the back tees this par 4 takes everything you’ve got. A two tiered green guards this already difficult hole so make sure you check the pin location and get yourself on the correct tier.
Another course favorite is this par-3 measuring 173 yards from the tips. An elevated tee box sits up on a hill with the green down below guarded by bunkers.
A great par 3 that requires players to carry a large ravine to the green, make sure you have enough club for the tee shot to avoid being short and ending up in the ravine.
An exciting par-5 which demands an accurate tee shot to carry the wetlands before reaching the fairway. After finding the fairway it’s all uphill from there finishing off the day with the same picturesque view you started with on hole No. 1.
